Gingival swelling
The inflamation of the gums is reduced after puberty, but, when this persists, a surgical intervention, which is called gingival resection, is necessary.
Puberty gingivitis appears especially in areas which are rich in bacterial plaque and calculus. Therefore it is important that, during puberty, people pay great attention to oral hygiene, at home, by brushing teeth and flossing, as well as in the dental clinic where they can benefit from professional brushing and other therapeutic services.
